Worcester College wishes to appoint two Junior Deans for the academic year commencing 1 October 2017 for a period of one year, with a possibility of renewal for a further two years. This post is suitable for a graduate student with at least one year of study remaining.
The primary role of the Junior Dean is to assist the Dean and other College staff in maintaining well-being and security in the College community. Acting as the first point of contact for welfare and disciplinary matters that require an immediate response, you’ll help the Lodge staff in the event of fire and deal with emergencies as and when they arise. Providing pastoral support as an integral member of the College's welfare team is also key.
In order to fulfil these responsibilities you must be available to undertake on-call duties from 7pm to 7am, in line with agreed rotas, as well as providing some cover during vacation times. The successful candidate will be offered free College accommodation and free meals in Hall, in addition to the current annual stipend of £3,219.
Potential applicants are welcome to contact the Assistant Dean, Hannah Ryley, on 01865 278397 for informal enquiries or to discuss the post.
